This was our second time to the Hermit Thrush Cabin. We love it there. About a year and a half ago we went to the cabin in late June. The snow had melted and the hiking was easy. A short hike from the cabin are alpine meadows with magnificent views of Mt Robson and the Selwyn range. Our more recent trip was in early January. The area around the cabin is spectacularly beautiful in the winter. The cabin's wood stove kept us warm and cozy. (Wood and kindling provided.) The cabin itself is wonderfully supplied. There's a stove, oven, running water in the basement that can be taken up to the kitchen sink, every kitchen utensil, pots, pans, plates, cups, bowls, cutlery and more. Every thing you will need to cook basic or gourmet meals. The cabin is incredibly well-stocked. It has an electrical system using solar panels to run lights and other things. The lights were every much appreciated during the long nights of our winter visit. My family loves the Hermit Thrush Cabin and the surrounding environment. We will be back!
